Personnel Day at Palace of Independence concerns Administration and Presidential Administration

13 people got new posts today. These are representatives of the diplomatic corps, local authorities, state institutions, and the country's industrial sector. The new Ambassador of Belarus to China was appointed. Nikolai Snopkov will go to the Celestial Empire to represent the interests of our country. Ex-director of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Valery Belsky was appointed the deputy head of the Administration today. The management of the President’s Office has also changed. Gennady Bogdan will no longer take the place of the deputy head of the office. All humanitarian activities will be managed by Igor Kudrevich, who now heads the relevant Department. Alexander Lukashenko expects significant improvements in the work of the state body. The President admits previous staff mistakes, therefore new candidates received special attention. One of the priority tasks is planning of the upcoming five-year period.

The local authorities have also been changed. Vadim Zaryankin will be responsible for the development of Vitebsk. He will be transferred to the post of mayor from the State Control Committee of the region. Andrei Filanovich will be responsible for Moscow District of Brest. Alexander Lukashenko noted that these high positions puts great responsibility on the new local leaders. It is important to continue the regions' development. Part of the tasks for Vitebsk Region was outlined at the meeting on Tuesday. The priority is people's interests.

New executives were appointed in the industrial sector today. Rimashevsky will be in charge of Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant. Atlant will be headed by Dmitry Sokolovsky. The rector of Vitebsk State University is now Valentina Bogatyryova.
