Personnel decisions made by Head of State today

Vladimir Semashko has been appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Russia. He will also be part-time plenipotentiary representative of Belarus to the CIS Economic Council and the CSTO, special representative on integration cooperation in the framework of the Union State, the EAEU, the CIS, the CSTO. This is the most important appointment with a view to a new impetus to economic cooperation.

Until August 2018, Vladimir Semashko served as Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, and before that he had served as First Deputy Prime Minister. In the government, he oversaw the spheres of industry and the fuel and energy complex.

Also today, the President has appointed new ambassadors of Belarus to Hungary, Syria and India and consented to the appointment of a number of new leaders of the local authorities, major organizations, government bodies, and higher educational institutions.
