Results of Lukashenko-Putin talks: focus on cooperation without regard to sanctions

Minsk and Moscow will work together both to respond to sanctions and to repel attacks of all kinds! These are, perhaps, the main results of the talks between the leaders of Belarus and Russia, which took place in Moscow on March 11.

Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin talked for six hours and harmonized their positions on many issues.  The statements of politicians confirm that  the Union will find an "antidote" and will become stronger.  The head of our state urged to unite, and not only within the framework of the "two countries", but also to cooperate in the Eurasian Economic Union and the CSTO.

А. Lukashenko:  Sanctions are a time of opportunity.

The attention of the whole world was riveted to those negotiations. And this is how the results of the negotiations are commented by the expert community. The West has deployed an unprecedented sanctions pressure. The pressure on the economies of Russia and Belarus is off the scale.  The intent is obvious:  to disunite the allies, deprive them of mutual support.   But, the economic partnership between Belarus and Russia is growing stronger, as well as industrial cooperation.  An increase in commodity turnover by more than threefold was recorded. Belarusian and Russian enterprises successfully cooperate, including through manufacturing of joint products.
