President concerned about situation in Ukraine

Belarus' position on the Ukrainian events remains unchanged. This was stated by President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting of the Security Council of Belarus. Results of the first stage of the Armed forces operation readiness have been summed up at the Palace of Independence today.
The discussion was held in view of the difficult situation in Ukraine. The President also expressed his concern about NATO's large-scale military maneuvers at the Belarusian border. In this regard, the Commander-in-Chief instructed to conduct Armed Forces exercises involving Russia's Air Forces. This step fully complies with interstate agreements in the military sphere.

Belarus continues its cooperation with Ukraine and is ready to provide humanitarian support to the country, the President said.
