By Olga Makei: After the official launch of the Belgee plant, President Alexander Lukashenko talked with the enterprise's work collective. Almost 800 people are already employed here. The staff of the enterprise is quite young – the average age is about 30 years. All specialists underwent additional training here.

Today, they talked primarily about the prospects of the plant and its truly national products. It is important to produce not only a quality car, but also a competitive one. Here, in the struggle for the buyer, the President proposes a formula that includes three components – an increase in the warranty period, the quality of maintenance, and, of course, the price. In addition, customers will be provided with different options for buying a car. In the coming years, they plan to increase the production volumes, and hence the number of jobs. The staff will increase to 1,500 employees.

Other relevant topics were discussed, too. For example, they touched upon the reconstruction of the Minsk—Borisov road, the development of Belarusian cities, the employment prospects for young professionals and the housing construction sector.
