Details of Alexander Lukashenko's interview to Belarusian and foreign political observers

13 ноября 2020
Representatives of the world leading media were invited to the Independence Palace today to take a look at the internal and foreign policy of Belarus, the current situation in our country and to look beyond the horizon of current facts. The dialogue with Alexander Lukashenko was dedicated to events in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and the Caucasus. For all these countries at the turn of the century the main thing is not to lose subjectivity and statehood itself.  Minsk, Moscow, Nur-Sultan and Chisinau are working for integration, otherwise we will be further divided.

Of course, they touched upon "hot" internal topics - the high-profile death in a street fight and the fate of expelled students. Both the first and second topics are under the President's personal control. It is not possible to cheat or use the energy of young people to destroy the country.

In short, the dialogue has turned out to be frank and informative.

Frank discussion about Eurasian pain points

The big talk of Belarus with the leading political observers was extremely frank.  The redistribution of power in  the world and wars against competitors are the background and conditions in which our countries live, work and defend their national interests. Every week brings new challenges - whether it be a sudden death in Minsk, thousands of deaths in the Caucasus or a turning point in Moldova. So the conversation today is certainly not the end of a big dialogue about the fate of Belarus and Eurasia.

VGTRK, Channel One, Kazakhstani Khabar, Moldova's Accent TV and the channels from Ukraine, Belarusian media attended the meeting.

President: Nowhere in the world people lived better after riots

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "Any colour revolution makes the state weaker and the people poorer - people have not lived better nowhere after these revolts. The main cure for this is also known - expansion and deepening of integration in all formats."

The first question from Andrei Kondrashov is why Maidan is failing in Belarus and the West does not know what to do with Lukashenko. The answer is that there are no offshore accounts, the economy is working, the nuclear power plant and a dozen other mega-projects have been launched. Russia, too, is a reliable ally.

Technology has invaded the consciousness and subconscious of people

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "Everything has been done to control people in the subconscious. It was made by American specialists."

Death of Roman Bondarenko

The sudden death of Roman Bondarenko from Minsk in a street fight is a confirmation. They knew that they were looking for a sacred victim. They knew they were deliberately provoking hatred - from police terror in the network to traffic blockades. And here is the case. The whole destructive network erupted. In the Telegram there were over 2,500 posts with more than 45 million views.

The investigation into the case of R. Bondarenko is under the President's personal control.

The reaction of the authorities is immediate - condolences to the family and all the consequences are under the personal control of the President. The General Prosecutor's Office is the main supervisory body. It investigates all the nuances, from alcohol tests to actual causes of death. The state is the most interested party in establishing the truth.

Mechanism for "rehabilitation" of students being developed

While the main goal is preserving the country and its future, the fate of expelled students is important as well. Yes, they were breaking the law, but students are always the  expendable material of the Maidans, we remember Ukraine, Georgia and Russia with Kyrgyztan. But, these are our young people, and they are worth fighting for. Hence the task is to find a mechanism for the rehabilitation of hot, but clever heads. The President hears requests from parents and students themselves, the mechanism is being developed.

Challenges to the political and state system

The new vector is Moldova. In the coming Sunday, the fate of the Presidential authority will be decided. Without interfering, Alexander Lukashenko advises to take into account both the Ukrainian and fresh Belarusian experience - emotions can ruin the still fragile development trend.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "I want to address the Moldovans  - do not go out to the square, do not destroy the country, learn lessons from our events."
