Alexander Lukashenko meets with Governor of Stavropol Krai

Another item in the working schedule of the President was a meeting with the Governor of the Stavropol Krai. According to Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus and the Russian region have a powerful potential for increasing trade turnover and launching new projects.

Stavropol Krai is one of the most promising economic partners of Belarus in Russia. Recently there has been a positive dynamics of the turnover growth to $ 140 million, however, this is not a limit. A significant increase in figures is promised by projects in the field of industrial cooperation, supply of agricultural and passenger equipment. In addition, Belarus offers services for the design and construction of various turnkey projects in the Stavropol region.

Vladimir Vladimirov, Governor of the Stavropol Krai of Russia:

"According to statistics, 60% of all tractors used in Stavropol region are of Belarusian origin. The need for an annual update is about 1.5 thousand."

Today, the Belarusian government has endorsed a document on trade, economic, scientific and cultural cooperation with Stavropol.
