Belarusian-Russian military exercise Zapad-2017 held at high level

The Belarusian-Russian military exercise Zapad -2017 was held at a high level and all the goals were achieved.

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this after visiting the Borisov training ground, where one of the main episodes of the exercise was trained. The Head of State was informed about the development of the military-political situation in the European region and its impact on the security of the Union State. Then the President observed the maneuvers, during which the coordinated actions of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia were worked out in order to repel the offensive of the conventional adversary, conduct a counterattack and defeat it. Summing up the results of the Zapad-2017 exercise, the President gave a high assessment of the actions of the military.

The Head of State spoke with reporters and shared his impressions. The President expressed his gratitude to all the personnel who took part in the joint strategic exercise Zapad-2017 on the Belarusian territory.
