Belarus should preserve its peace and tranquility in view of the current external situation, as stated by President Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with Chairman of the State Security Committee Valery Vakulchik. The situation in the world, especially recently, has been intense, international media reporting about new terror attacks and riots. The Belarusian leader is concerned about the situation that is emerging around Belarus.

Valery Vakulchik reported to the President that the situation in Belarus had been generally stable, including in the light of the ongoing parliamentary election campaign. The agency is actively cooperating with the intelligence services of both the CIS and Western Europe on countering terrorism.
