President Alexander Lukashenko set this task today during a meeting with Chairman of the Board Viktor Ananich.
The conversation was devoted to the results of the work of the country's largest bank, as well as its plans for the future. Today Belarusbank keeps the leading positions. It accounts for more than half of the population's deposits and a record number of issued loans. Alexander Lukashenko was interested today not only in the situation in the bank, but in general, in the financial situation in the country.
The development strategy until 2020 is based on improving the efficiency and profitability of capital. By 2020 Belarusbank plans to ensure profitability of capital higher than 11%, which will increase the investment attractiveness of the financial structure. The development strategy also includes mechanisms for supporting small and medium-sized businesses. In 2017, more than 600 million rubles were allocated for the development of entrepreneurship. In the coming year, lending volumes will be significantly increased.
