According to President Alexander Lukashenko, the first visit of Arkhangelsk region Governor Igor Orlov will give a new impetus to the development of inter-regional cooperation. Currently, the region’s timber industry enterprises involve more than 500 MAZ trucks, and Belarus proposes to increase the supplies. The parties are ready to cooperate in agriculture and construction. Moreover, Belarus has suggested sharing experience in organising rural tourism and creating agricultural towns in the Arkhangelsk region. All proposals are reflected in a package of documents on economic cooperation, which has been initialed by the Government.
