President Alexander Lukashenko held talks with the head of the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank. Minsk negotiates the financial support of its trade and investment on the African continent. According to the President, Belarus will invest in Africa, create joint ventures, and without the support of financial institutions it is very difficult to do.
18 countries are the shareholders of the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank. The bank was awarded the highest long-term investment grade ratings by the leading international rating agencies Moody`s and Fitch. Funding is provided by large financial institutions in Germany, Belgium, USA, China and Japan.
