Belarus and Ukraine agree on new common projects

Yesterday Alexander Lukashenko and Victor Yanukovych discussed bilateral cooperation both in restricted and in expanded attendance. One of the most important spheres is agriculture and agricultural mechanical engineering.


The parties agreed to step up leasing activities as well as cooperation in the energetic sphere, including training of personnel for nuclear power engineering. Apart from bilateral relations, an integration agenda was also in the center of attention.


In turn Ukraine is interested in the quickest accession of Belarus to the World Trade Organization. Following the negotiations a number of bilateral documents have been signed. Among them is the Protocol on Exchange of Ratification Instruments of the Barrier-Treaty that will start its demarcation.
