Belarus-Georgia relations will be based on strong trade and economic ties, as stated by Belarus’ President during today’s meeting with his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Margvelashvili. The politicians met at the Georgian President’s official residence to discuss politics, economy and security in the post-Soviet space both in narrow and expanded formats.

The two Governments plan to sign a double taxation avoidance agreement, as well as agreements on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters, tourism and intellectual property protection.
