Belarus and Azerbaijan sign agreement on social and economic cooperation between two countries till 2025

Ilham Aliyev and Alexander Lukashenko talked first in a narrow format. Afterwards, the negotiations continued in the extended format. Alexander Lukashenko offered Ilham Aliyev to focus on new ideas and directions of mutually beneficial cooperation. Belarusian President notes that Belarus and Azerbaijan did not allow for a significant reduction of mutual commodity circulation despite the crisis in the world economy.

At the end of the official talks between Alexander Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev at the Palace of Independence an agreement signed on social and economic cooperation between the two countries till 2025. Belarusian President presented the Order of Merit to First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the production association Ganja Automobile Plant. They were awarded for significant contribution to strengthening and development of trade and economic relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan.
