Alexander Lukashenko meets with new Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission

Today President Alexander Lukashenko met with the new Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan. As Alexander Lukashenko stressed, Belarus has consistently and strongly advocated the removal of all barriers that still remain in the mutual trade in the Eurasian Union.

Today the member states of the EAEC are Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. The Eurasian Union is one of the largest economic groups with a population of over 180 million people worldwide. There is connection of the Eurasian alliance with a global initiative of the Chinese "economic belt of the Silk Road."

Tigran Sargsyan also met the Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov to discuss several projects within the framework of the EAEC, in particular, the single information space that will increase the effectiveness and competitiveness of the national economy sectors.
