Alexander Lukashenko lays wreath at tomb of first president of Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal

The President of Belarus has arrived in Turkey on an official visit. Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with Recep Tayyip Erdogan today. The meeting of the Presidents will be held in narrow and expanded formats with participation of delegations. The parties will discuss political issues, trade and economic cooperation. Special attention will be paid to investment cooperation and balanced trade.

After the official welcoming ceremony with the guard of honor, the Head of State went to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the national leader, founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.

Today, a meeting of business circles of the two countries is taking place in Ankara. Experts are working on the development of cooperation and the implementation of new projects. The economic headquarters is the Marriott Hotel. In general, this is a global practice, when a five-star hotel turns into a large platform for negotiations. Contracts were concluded here in various fields - from industry and science to IT, petrochemistry and food. 66 Belarusian companies were represented at the business forum. The total amount of agreements reached is estimated at $ 325 million.
