This was stated by the Head of State in an interview to the Associated Press news agency. The journalist asked Alexander Lukashenko about the hypothetical possibility of using nuclear weapons in case of protracted hostilities in Ukraine, and whether he considers it acceptable at all, whether it is not a red line in this case.
"I absolutely think that the use of nuclear weapons is unacceptable, not only because it's near us. Not only here, but it cannot be used across the ocean, say in the United States either. It's unacceptable at all. Our globe could be torn out of the orbit and we would fly off to the unknown. The use of nuclear weapons is unacceptable," stressed Alexander Lukashenko unambiguously.
