Alexander Lukashenko receives credentials from ambassadors of foreign states

The Belarusian authorities defend the interests of the majority of citizens who voted for a united country and advocate an independent and stable state. This was stated today by Alexander Lukashenko, accepting the credentials of the ambassadors of foreign states.

The solemn ceremony took place at the Palace of Independence. The diplomatic cortege was met in the morning. Japan, Turkey, Vatican, Venezuela, Iran, Syria, and North Korea will raise their flags by tradition. The diploma presentation ceremony itself is a kind of starting point and the official beginning of diplomatic missions.
This is a significant year for Belarus, the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Our country honors the memory of heroes and understands the value of real peace. Therefore, a broad dialogue on international security is advocated for. The topic is not only about military-political, but also about medical issues. The second wave of the pandemic is mobilizing states to work on sustainable economic ties. Belarus also has its internal challenges.

We already have extensive experience of joint work with each of the countries represented today. But the approach to growth points is individual. Turkey, Iran, and Syria bring together a region of great economic opportunity. Strong ties with Venezuela open the way for both trade and humanitarian cooperation. Belarus has an unjustifiably low level of contact with the DPRK: prospects are in the production of medicines, food products, and vocational training. Reserves in industrial cooperation, investment, science, and technology are spheres to cooperate with Japan in.

Developing and strengthening ties is the main task for each of the new representatives. Moreover, the basis can be not only material, but also spiritual.

The President of Belarus conveyed the best wishes to Pope Francis during the conversation with the Apostolic Nuncio. Belarus and the Vatican have a special relationship. And issues of interfaith peace occupy an important place on the bilateral agenda.
