Belarus’ President Alexander Lukashenko is currently taking part in meetings of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Moscow’s Kremlin, along with the leaders of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

The main topic of the CSTO meeting is the fight against terrorism. The leaders are planned to make a statement reflecting common approaches to the threat. Besides, the Heads of State will consider cooperation in the field of road transport liberalisation and interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union and other international organisations.

1 January will mark a year since the EAEU has been established. Therefore, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting will be dedicated to summing up results. The year under Belarus’ chairmanship has resulted in creating a single market for services.
