Alexander Lukashenko arrives in Moscow for World Cup

Alexander Lukashenko arrived at the World Cup in Moscow at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The President was welcomed at the airport in a warm football atmosphere. Alexander Lukashenko was greeted by the mascot Wolf Zabivaka. The Head of the Belarusian state played football with him. Wolf Zabivaka was able to turn the ball away only once.

Alexander Lukashenko left an autograph on the soccer ball and an inscription Good Luck to the Russian Brothers.

The opening of the World Cup was attended by the heads of many states. Alexander Lukashenko warmly communicated with Russian President Vladimir Putin and colleagues from other countries. Together with the Belarusian President there were Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the box of honorable guests. The legendary Moscow Luzhniki became the center of world football. The start of the first match of the Championship was preceded by a bright opening ceremony.
