Today, the Belarusian law enforcers are celebrating their professional holiday. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated police officers and veterans of the Internal Affairs Ministry on the Police Day. "Each of you is at the forefront of fighting crime every day, proving loyalty to your country and people and adhering to the glorious traditions established by the veterans of the service," the letter reads.
The head of state drew attention to the fact that last year the importance of law enforcement agencies in ensuring the stability of society and the safety of citizens was manifested very clearly. "That was certainly one of the most difficult periods in the biography of the Belarusian police. However, you have coped with encroachments on the constitutional order with dignity. You have fulfilled your duty till the end, displaying courage, tenacity, and professionalism. You have proved that you are true patriots," said the President.
The President expressed belief that the law enforcers will do their utmost to reliably protect the legal foundations of the state system, to neutralize challenges and threats to the economy and the peaceful life of the Belarusians. "I thank you for your honest and faultless service. I wish you good health, happiness, and prosperity," added the head of state.
