You are one of the pioneers in the exploration of the Universe, one of strong and courageous people who demonstrated the triumph of human mind and unlimited abilities. You made history as the first man to walk in outer space. The results of research that you conducted at the Earth's orbit gave a strong impetus to the development of science, the felicitation message reads.
The head of state remarked that people in Belarus appreciate Alexei Leonov as an outstanding pilot cosmonaut and an old friend of the country. I am convinced that your activity will help enhance friendship between our fraternal nations in the future, the President stressed.
