President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the pilot-cosmonaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Petr Klimuk on his 75th birthday.
"Your life path is a vivid example of selfless service to Fatherland. Courage, professionalism, wide erudition, responsibility and dedication enabled you to become an outstanding cosmonaut pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, "the message says. "We are proud of you, our famous compatriot, the first Belarusian who flew into the outer space."
The President stressed that Petr Klimuk made a great contribution to the implementation of projects to create Belarusian space vehicles that are now working on Earth orbits and help solve important social and economic problems.
Alexander Lukashenko wished Petr Klimuk good health, inexhaustible energy, further success in scientific and social activities.
