Alexander Lukashenko to attend FIFA World Cup opening ceremony and opening match

Today, the FIFA World Cup kicks off in Moscow. The opening match Russia vs. Saudi Arabia will be hosted by the recently reconstructed stadium Luzhniki.

The game starts at 18.00, but one hour before the starting whistle, TV Channel Belarus 5 will air a preview of the planetary forum and the opening ceremony.

At the invitation of his Russian counterpart, the President of Belarus plans to attend the opening ceremony and the first match. This information was confirmed by the press secretary of the head of the Belarusian President Natalia Eismont.

The competition will be hosted by 11 cities of Russia. Moscow has two venues for the matches. The main stars of football today – Ronaldo, Messi, and Neymar – will take part in the World Cup. Bookmakers favour the teams of Germany, France, Brazil, and Belgium.

Belarus 5 – the main sports channel of the country – will broadcast all the 64 matches of the World Cup in full live. Also, the channel will prepare thematic news bulletins and diaries.
