Alexander Lukashenko unhappy with development of agriculture in Shklov district

The agro-industrial complex needs fresh ideas for development. It is necessary to actively generate new directions in agriculture. This task was set by the President today while visiting the Gazovik-Sipakovo enterprise in Shklov district. The Head of State was told about the socio-economic development of this district and the whole Mogilev region, as well as about the spring field work.

Mass sowing has already begun. Naturally, it is more active in the south: in Brest and Gomel regions.

This year, farmers are tasked to harvest at least 8.5 million tons of grain. In the eastern region, only some farms have started planting herbs. Today, the President was informed in detail about the results of the work of the Gazovik-Sipakovo enterprise.

Last year, the socio-economic indicators here were the best in Shklov district. The enterprise is engaged in the production of meat and dairy products and plans to expand this area. The rapeseed yield is impressive. In a year or two they plan to make rapeseed oil here. The agronomical service of the enterprise did a great job of increasing the seeding of perennial herbs. This is 1 400 hectares. The Head of State requires the same innovations and agricultural experiments in all areas of the agro-industrial complex, because there are only a few such farms in Mogilev region. On the whole, Alexander Lukashenko was not satisfied with the development of agriculture in the region, which is in last place in terms of indicators.

The Gazovik-Sipakovo agricultural enterprise is a structural subdivision of the RUE Mogilevoblgaz, but the head organization finances only long-term projects. Wages, fuel, fertilizers are paid for from the enterprise’s own revenue. The farmers plan to reach full self-financing in a couple of years.

Alexander Lukashenko got acquainted with the readiness of equipment for field work, the conditions of its storage and maintenance at the enterprise. He visited several repair shops and talked with machine operators.

In general, the prospects of the agro-industrial complex and wages in the industry in Shklov region were discussed. The task is to reach the average salary in the village of a thousand rubles in the next few years. A young team works in Gazovik-Sipakovo, the average age is 40 years, and last year's salary was almost 900 rubles.
