For the first time in a quarter of a century, we have to protect our country. The President spoke about it the day before, at the Independence Square in the capital, where thousands of people came to support peace, security and calmness in our country. People are tired of being torn apart in a society heated up by the endless flows of information on telegram channels leading to the collapse of the country. People want to live in peace, to work, to earn for themselves and their families, to be sure of the safety of their children. Residents from all regions of the country have come to the capital. And this is only part of all those who understand responsibility for our common future. The President stressed that he is not a supporter of rallies. We have built a sovereign state together and are obliged to maintain independence without division or confrontation.
The President is convinced that the collapse of Belarus cannot be allowed today. During the years of Independence we have achieved a lot, having overcome many difficulties. Only together and in unity it is possible to preserve everything that the Belarusians have achieved by their work.
The people who gathered at the rally agree: it's unbelievable that everything that's happened in recent days has become possible in our country. We've done so much together in the years of Independence, and losing would be painfully hurtful.
The Belarusians, who gathered at Independence Square in Minsk, signed a petition. People want to live in peace, to work and to raise children in a peaceful and safe country. And for that, we all need to be together.
