For the first time in millennia Belarusians have been lucky to live independently on their land.
This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko the day before during the solemn ceremony of honoring state symbols on the State Flag Square. The Belarusian leader spoke about historical memory, present-day truth, and the need to understand the significance of such symbols as the emblem and flag, and their important role in consolidating the citizens of a state.
Let us remind you that on 9 May, during the solemn ceremony of honouring the state symbols, the emblem and flag of Belarus were brought out in the National Flag Square as symbols of the unbroken connection between generations. The young people took over the symbols of the nation from the older generations.
