Alexander Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon officially launch assembly production of Belarusian agricultural machinery in Tajikistan

Assembly production of Belarusian agricultural machinery officially opened today in the city of Hisor. This enterprise was included by the Government of Tajikistan in the list of especially important objects. Agricultural machinery is in high demand today. The shortage of tractors is about 10 thousand units. On the occasion of the official launch of the new production, the Presidents of Belarus and Tajikistan opened a memorial sign on the territory of the enterprise. Alexander Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the production and communicated with the workers. They were told about the plans to localize the assembly in Hisor. The President of Belarus supports the idea that certain components should be produced in Tajikistan.

During the visit to the enterprise, the President of Belarus was told that the company plans to establish a training center at the assembly plant in Hisor. Also, partners from Tajikistan are interested in the educational programs of the Belarusian National Technical University and in raising qualification of their specialists.

Tractors Belarus are assembled at the plant in Hisor. Negotiations are under way on their sales to third-country markets, for example, to Afghanistan.

After the launch of the production, Emomali Rahmon invited the Belarusian leader to visit his residences located in picturesque mountainous areas near Dushanbe. Afterwards, both Presidents went to the airport. The head of Tajikistan personally saw the Belarusian colleague off. Before the departure, the politicians briefly summarized the results of the official visit.

Yesterday, the Presidents held large-scale talks, and representatives of business circles of the two countries signed a number of contracts at the business forum. On Tuesday, the National Exhibition of Belarus started in Dushanbe.
