Ahead of the 100th anniversary of the country’s internal forces, the President of Belarus paid a visit to Military Unit 54-48 in Minsk. Alexander Lukashenko noted that even in peacetime, the country’s internal forces play a major role. The President observed the everyday life of the unit to see how the training of fighters is going on and to get acquainted with equipment and weapons, as well as with the life of military personnel.
The President also answered questions from journalists. Reporters asked the leader of the country about the beginning of the harvest campaign. Alexander Lukashenko reminded that the guarantee of a good harvest is discipline. Also, the President shared his impressions of the successful performances of Belarusian athletes at the Winter Paralympics in PyeongChang. "These people work miracles," the President said.
