Alexander Lukashenko: Belarus and Iran need to achieve turnover of one billion dollars

Belarus and Iran need to strengthen trade and economic cooperation and achieve trade turnover of one billion dollars. This was stated by President Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Ali Larijani.

Last year, the trade turnover between the countries exceeded $ 150 million. The figure shows growth this year too. Cooperation is positively influenced within the framework of the EAEU. Belarus exports trucks and spare parts, tires, bearings and medical equipment. The basis of Iranian exports is dried fruits, nuts and medicines. Today, Iran is interested in the sphere of high technologies. The partners are ready to adopt the advanced Belarusian experience in this field. Belarus is interested in Iranian investment.

The guests will meet with their Belarusian counterparts - the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic.
