Alexander Lukashenko will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation. Today, the President of Belarus will take part in an informal meeting of the CIS heads of state, which will be held in St. Petersburg.
The leaders will sum up the results of Belarus' presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States this year, exchange opinions on dealing with urgent common problems and discuss further measures to enhance the effective cooperation and social and economic development of the CIS member states. The forthcoming meeting is also noteworthy due to the fact that December marks the 30th anniversary of the CIS formation. And tomorrow, Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The heads of state will discuss the urgent issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation.
