The situation on the external agenda, prevented terrorist attacks and peace and saved lives in the country were discussed at the meeting on the socio-political situation, conveyed by the president today.

The Security Council was invited to the Palace of Independence. Alexander Lukashenko outlined the topic: ensuring internal and external security. Any methods are used to inflame the situation inside the Republic.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "It may be calmer, but there will never be absolute peace in the country, because we have outer forces eager to escalate the situation here. Some of the channels that used to lead the protesters in Minsk gave up. More radical ones have appeared, such as BYPOL, consisting of about 20 former military personnel. You see calls for radicalization. I would like to praise the work of our police and the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption. They prevented another terrorist crime, participated in this operation, and they deserve state awards."

Control over the situation on the external scale and inside the country is not weakening. Moreover, Western authorities do not stop trying to radicalize the situation on the streets. The President demands to provide people with a calm life and security. The close attention of law enforcement officers will be focused on the situation in the capital.

The President instructed Natalia Kochanova to take control over the unauthorized events in Minsk, so that people could walk on the streets safely. The national security system that has been created in Belarus is capable of ensuring law and order in the territory of our country and preventing any threats. The operatives track all the instigators of the protest actions, including the coordinators. The Security Council assured of new information to appear.

Alexander Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus: "All these events were initiated by people from abroad, who pretend to care about the fate of Belarus. They treat people as instruments for fulfilling their goals, regardless of what will happen and what measures of responsibility will be applied to them."

The radicals put pressure on teachers, security officials and journalists last year. They spoiled property, threatened families, leaked phone numbers, addresses and other personal data to the Internet. Despite all attempts, a color revolution in Belarus failed. The radicals who fled the country are constantly changing their tactics, and one need to be prepared for any events.
