The President of Belarus gave an interview to the Chief Editor of the National Defense Russian magazine, military expert Igor Korotchenko.
The conversation lasted almost 2,5 hours. The results of the recent meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, the development of integration of Belarus and Russia were discussed.
An acute and relevant topic is the migration crisis. Alexander Lukashenko expressed his position on who is to blame for the current situation.
The Head of State also spoke about the mafia structure operating in the European Union for organizing the transit of migrants.
They also discussed the overall situation in the region and the world. The agenda included tension on the western borders, the situation in Ukraine, and the growing geopolitical confrontation. Another set of issues related to the internal agenda in Belarus concerned analysis of the events of the past year, work on amendments to the Constitution and preparation for the upcoming referendum, as well as the epidemiological situation and issues of treatment of patients. Taking into account the thematic of the magazine, they also discussed the development of the military-industrial complex of Belarus, cooperation in this area with Russia.
Igor Korotchenko took part in the meeting of the Belarusian Head of State with representatives of the media community "Big Conversation with the President", where he turned to Alexander Lukashenko with a request for an interview. The Belarusian leader agreed and kept his word.
