The elections to the House of Representatives of Belarus’ National Assembly and the Council of the Republic will be held on 11 September and from 11 June to 18 September respectively, according to the decrees signed by the President on Monday. The deadlines are set in view of the requirements of the Constitution, according to which elections must be scheduled no later than 4 months and held no later than 30 days before the term of the current Parliament expires.
The Central Election commission is responsible for organising the election campaign and monitoring compliance with the law.
