By Veronica Buta. The main political campaign of the year was well organized. Elections to local councils of deputies have taken place. This was announced at the meeting of the Central Election Commission, where the final results of the electoral campaign were summed up.
Since the start of the electoral race, the CEC received slightly more than 420 appeals. As Lydia Yermoshina notes, most of the complaints turned out to be standard and unreasonable. Observers demanded video surveillance, some voters were dissatisfied with candidates.
The CEC notes that they intend to work on improving the organization of elections. So, following the example of the capital, they want to create electronic maps of constituencies in all regions.
The head of the CEC also commented on the prospects for changing the electoral legislation of Belarus. According to Lydia Yermoshina, there are certain proposals. However, such decisions are made either by the President or the Parliament.
