Vladimir Makei meets with heads of Belarus’ foreign agencies

Belarus has managed to overcome the negative trend of decreasing the supply of domestically produced goods to foreign markets, as stated by Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei at today’s meeting with heads of Belarusian foreign agencies. The first months of the year were particularly sensitive for the country’s economy – in January-May, an increase in the volume of export coincided with a significant decrease in its costs. The loss amounted to nearly 20%. However, recent months have seen an intensification of supplies, figures showing a small growth of Belarus’ export potential. According to the Foreign Ministry, the diplomatic corps should play a more prominent role in developing trade and economic ties with partners.

Belarusian diplomats working all over the world are currently in the country undergoing annual training aimed at improving work efficiency in the current economic realities. This year's priorities are attracting foreign investments and increasing exports.
