Vice Speaker of Polish Sejm to expand cooperation with Belarusian parliamentarians

At a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Boleslav Pirshtuk, Vice-speaker of the Polish Sejm Ryszard Terletsky has announced his plans to expand cooperation with Belarusian parliamentarians.

The parties noted the positive economic effect of cooperation. Today, Poland is among the top five investors in Belarus. In the first six months of 2017, over 150 million dollars were received. In the last few years, large-scale projects have been implemented in hotel business, industry, and logistics. More than 350 enterprises with Polish capital operate in Belarus. As of 2016, the trade turnover between the countries amounted to nearly 2 billion dollars.

Ryszard Terletsky, the Vice Speaker of the Polish Sejm: "The Belarus—Poland interparliamentary relations have become very active over the past few years. Today, we discussed economic and international policies. We talked a lot about the cooperation of our countries internationally."

The head of the Polish delegation also expressed his hope that the three-day visit will bring lots of effective meetings and new contacts.
