By Alesya Vysotskaya: The summits emphasized the need for strengthening not only the Eurasian integration, but also the Commonwealth of Independent States. The statements made by the Presidents will long be subject to analysis by political scientists and economists

The parties confirmed the readiness to look not only for new partnership opportunities, but also for compromises. For example, this refers to barriers and constraints in key markets. For Belarus, it is the supply of energy resources and export duties on oil and oil products; for Kazakhstan it is food and transportation.

One of the outcomes is the Treaty on the establishment of the Eurasian Union. The Presidents will sign it in May to launch the new integration association on January 1, 2015.
According to experts, the Eurasian integration becomes a geopolitical magnet. The Presidents supported the desire of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan to cooperate with the Customs Union. Moreover, India, New Zealand, Turkey and Vietnam are ready to joint the integration process.

Besides, the Presidents adopted a number of programs on combating terrorism, drug and human trafficking. It was proposed to declare 2015 Year of the Veterans; 2014 will become Year of Tourism in the CIS. 2014 CIS chairmanship was handed over to Ukraine.
