The informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU member states and the Eastern Partnership initiative was held In Tallinn.
It discussed the preparations for the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels in November, including the content of its final declaration, as well as the prospects for cooperation between the partner countries and the European Union. The head of the Belarusian delegation, Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Kravchenko, stressed the need for the development of the Eastern Partnership as a tool for building confidence and overcoming dividing lines in the region. The Belarusian party called for a direct dialogue between the Eurasian Economic Union and the EU.
