Meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly held in St. Petersburg

This year Belarus chairs the CSTO. And the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly is a good opportunity to come up with new initiatives. The Belarusian side proposed to strengthen the fight against cybercrime and countering hybrid wars.

Sergei Rakhmanov, Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic for International Affairs and National Security: "It is necessary to improve the economic component of the CSTO activity, because security is not only military threats, it is primarily economic and technological security."

And tomorrow in 137 St. Petersburg will open the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. It promises to become the largest in the history of the association. There will be about 100 chairmen of foreign parliaments and delegations from 150 countries, the world. The total number of registered participants is about 2, 5 thousand people.
