Diplomatic receptions dedicated to Belarus’ Independence Day have been held in the country’s embassies abroad. The event in Chisinau was attended by over 200 guests - foreign ambassadors, Moldovan Parliament members, businessmen, prominent public figures, Belarusian diaspora representatives, as well as President of Moldova Igor Dodon. The presence of the distinguished guest once again emphasized the fact that the level of cooperation between the countries had increased.
Igor Dodon is expected to visit Belarus for the first time as President in mid-July.
Opening the reception, Ambassador of Belarus to Moldova Sergei Chichuk said that Independence Day was a day of pride and glory, the embodiment of the unity and solidarity of the Belarusian people.
