The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Latvia was solemnly opened in Mogilev. Its main task is to promote closer economic relations with the European Union. This year the foreign trade turnover of the eastern region of Belarus with Latvia grew by more than a third and exceeded $ 40 million. Exports of cement and resins increased by half. The total investment in the economy of the Mogilev region exceeded $ 6 million.
In honor of the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Latvia, the leadership of the Mogilev region was awarded a certificate for one ton of sweets for New Year's gifts to pupils of schools and kindergartens.
