The sole purpose of the meeting is the settlement of the conflict in the Donbas, and development of a detailed roadmap for normalization of the situation in the south-east of Ukraine. As previously stated by the initiators of the meeting, the talks in the Belarusian capital are a test of what has been done after the October meeting of the Norman Quartet in Berlin. The discussion lasted for over three hours. The conversation we held behind closed doors. The foreign ministers of Germany, Russia, France and Ukraine gathered at the same table to discuss in detail the roadmap for peace and tranquility in the Donbas. The roadmap covers the blocks of questions such as the organization of local elections, the adoption of the law on the special status of Donbas, as well as special measures to reduce tensions in the region. This is the position of Russia. The Ukrainian version of the roadmap focuses on security issues and issues of a humanitarian nature.
