Minsk hosted bilateral consultations of the Security Councils of Belarus and Russia. Nikolai Patrushev discussed the current agenda in detail with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Volfovich. Such meetings are held annually, cover the widest possible military-political agenda and are aimed primarily at comprehensively strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. This time, special attention was paid to the issues of hybrid influence on Belarus and Russia, interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states, and measures to counteract the sanctions policy of Western countries. Bilateral consultations of the advisory councils of Belarus and Russia were also held in Minsk today. They were planned. They talked about new threats and how to jointly counter them. This time, representatives of the countries also exchanged opinions on urgent problems of international security in the context of degradation of the existing arms control system.
