At the moment a closed session to investigate the poisoning of Colonel Sergei Skripal is held in the Hague. The situation is also being watched by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Dmitry Mironchik, Head of Information and Digital Diplomacy Department - Press Secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry: "Belarus has been and remains a categorical opponent of the use of chemical weapons. The perpetrators of such crimes must be held accountable. But in the beginning, the guilty people have to be unambiguously and reliably established. Belarus firmly believes that only an authoritative and open investigation with the participation of all interested parties and in full compliance with the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons will provide information on the basis of which it will be possible to draw objective conclusions."
