President of Belarus takes part in CSTO summit in Bishkek

The Collective Security Treaty Organization Summit starts in Bishkek. The leaders of the countries participating in the military-political bloc will discuss the most pressing issues and promising projects. The President of Belarus will present the main proposals of our country in the field of regional and international security at the session of the CSTO Council. Minsk intends to support a joint anti-terrorism program with the UN. They will talk about the situation in the information sphere and the Tajik-Afghan border, where it is not calm.

Such summits are platforms for bilateral meetings - an opportunity to assess the situation and prospects of relations between countries. Alexander Lukashenko held talks with his colleague, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov. Our country confirms its readiness to develop cooperation. Trade has exceeded $ 130 million over the past year. The basis of Belarusian exports is tractors, medicines, dairy and meat products. More than 50 trade offices of the commodity network and distributors of Belarusian enterprises operate in Kyrgyzstan.

Belarus and Kyrgyzstan will discuss the growth of their partnership. The next meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation is planned to be held in Minsk this Sunday. The parties agreed to appoint the vise prime ministers the co-chairs of the commission.
