Fairness and objectivity in the monitoring of the parliamentary elections in Belarus are the main task of international observers. This opinion was expressed by Razmik Khumaryan, Deputy Director of the Department of Humanitarian Cooperation, General Political and Social Issues of the CIS Executive Committee, during the opening of the polling stations in Gomel. The largest number of polling stations - 1038 - has been created in the Gomel region. Champion of the Olympic Games in Athens in judo Igor Makarov was among the first voters today.

The election in Belarus is monitored by more than 800 international and more than 32 thousand domestic observers.
