Visa Facilitation Agreement to be ratified in early April

Parliamentarians will ratify the Visa Facilitation Agreement with the EU at the beginning of the spring session. 

This was stated today by chairman of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Andrei Savinykh. The issue will be considered on April 2-3. Belarusian parliamentarians urge their colleagues in the European Parliament to make the process irreversible as well.

Andrei Savinykh, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus: "We are convinced that this agreement will facilitate travel for citizens, develop international, including tourist, contacts, as well as strengthen trust and understanding between peoples. 

The visa agreement may come into force in June. The visa decision-making period will be reduced to 10 days and the fee will also be reduced to 35 euros. The validity period of multiple-entry visas will also be extended. In addition, there will be more grounds for issuing free Schengen.
