Situation in Ukraine discussed today in Minsk.

The Tripartite  Contact Group agreed that demining of Lugansk will begin tomorrow in connection with the preparation for the repair of the bridge in Lugansk. The OSCE special representative also welcomed the efforts of the parties to maintain the ceasefire, which began on July 21. 

Martin Sajdik, OSCE special representative to the Tripartite  Contact Group on Ukraine:

"The ceasefire agreed at the previous meeting of the Tripartite  Contact Group has brought significant results. During this time, no civilian casualties were recorded as a result of the shelling. And the number of ceasefire violations has essentially stopped."

The next meeting of the Tripartite  Contact Group will be held in Minsk on August 21.
